New Phones!
So while celebrating my last day of student teaching, Chris and I ventured into a Verizon store (something we've done a couple of times over the last few weeks). Yadda yadda yadda, now we both have new phones... with the web. I've been waiting to splurge for awhile and figured my graduation was the perfect time! I'm a little nervous about Chris however, he can't multi task at all. He sat in complete silence for a good hour without trying to harass (loving term) me. This has never happened.

Tuesday 4 AM...

It is currently Tuesday morning at 4 AM and I do not have anything planned for today or tomorrow. I have got a bad case of senioritis and it is starting to wear on me. Actually Sunday night it really started to become a problem. Yesterday's lessons went fairly well in English (Michaelson was out sick... that's always a good thing), but in ESL I was under prepared and the students could tell. I tried to trick them into writing by saying I heard a rumor they'd all have to wear school uniforms to school, but they were all outraged and wouldn't write. It was a very comic moment in my life.
I can't wait to be done first and foremost to have my old relationship with Chris back. This experience has been very stressful on our relationship and the way we communicate. He's usually a sweetheart and sometime will even come to bed at those early hours. It makes me happy to realize that he's is just as excited for me to be done as I am. It's quite telling just how stressful this experience was for me. I don't know if I'll miss anyone at Ike 9th. I think I'll miss a handful of students, but I'll be happy to not have to deal with the other handful of jerks everyday. I want a job because we need money, but I don't want to deal with AISD or the student who go to these schools. I can honestly say if I am offered a job I would accept it. I guess we'll find out sooner rather than later (actually I have no clue when I will find out...).

The Weekend

This weekend was supposed to be filled with:
1) Planning the week for Romeo and Juliet and sentence parts.
2) Doing the weekly chores I hold off on until the weekend.
3) Finishing my resume and applying to MANY different districts.
4) Spending lots of quality time with Chrisy-poo.
However, the weekend was put on hold because I came down with a cold... or the flu. One of those horrible evil germs that ruins perfectly good weekends.
I will hopefully have finished the following by 9 pm tonight:
1) Planning until at least Wednesday.
2) Buying a new battery for the car because our car wont start anymore.
3) Finishing my resume for the board of directors dinner on Monday.
Wish me luck because I only have 9 school days left! Even though that number is dwindling down, I still feel like this whole experience might consume me one class period at a time.

Update

So I have a total of 19 more school days at Ike 9! To add some more icing to the cake, the last day is the math TAKS test. I will most likely take up position at some random corner in the school and be a hall monitor. Legally I cannot be left in the room alone with the students and I don’t want to be left in charge of a TAKS test anyways.
